24.6 miles hiked, Very hot and humid weather.
The photo is a preview of the PA rocks. I really hit most of these starting July 18th and dealt with them for 2-3 weeks all the way into New York. They were pretty much endless and slowed you down a LOT. This pictures shows some bigger rocks. Just big enough that you had to step on top of them and then rock hop or step down before stepping up again. As a bonus, although they look solid, sometimes they rocked when you stepped on them.
PA alternates between big rocks and small pointy rocks. These were endless and tough to navigate through. You have no choice but to slow down. These pictures are actually showing the trail itself.
